With 20 years devoted to application engineering in the aerospace industry, in 1974, the founder of Entec West became the vice- president of the Energy Division, of a Northwest distributor organization. In addition to representing several marine and industrial gas, gasoline, and diesel fueled engine manufacturers, a relationship with Farymann Diesel water cooled engines was established.
 
On January 1, 1980, the founder acquired the Farymann Diesel assets of the then current distributor and established Entec West, Inc. The primary effort of Entec West was the engineering, sales, service, and owner seminars, for Farymann Diesel engines used in marine applications. We also began the design and manufacturing of control panels, sound enclosures, and engine/generator/hydraulic drive systems using Farymann Diesel engines. And, the design of large generator systems fueled with digester gas from dairy manure.
 
The design and development of the EW-4200 series generators began in 1985, with our goals of quality, reliability, size, and light weight. Our CAD design, CNC machining, fine grain sand castings, and epoxy painting, achieves the ultimate in quality and performance.
