We have added an option to the sea water cooling system.
 
Option number EW-4200-D/SR, replaces the sea water pump, that is piggy back mounted on the engine cooling pump, with a remote, A.C. powered, motor driven, magnetically coupled centrifugal pump. The new pump does not use a "rubber" type impeller, and there are no seals.
 
A.C. power is supplied by the generator, and the pump starts automatically when the generator is active. A check valve is included at the pump to prevent drain down.
 
The new pump should be located below the water line, near the sea strainer.

• No rubber impeller to wear out and replace.
• No seals to wear out and replace.
• The engine cooling pump is easier to service.

RETRO-FIT KIT
A retro-fit kit, 990-EW-SR-KIT, is available. The kit includes a motor driven pump, check valve, fuse holder, and a cover plate with gasket, to replace the sea water pump on the cooling pump.

Option number EW-4200-D/SF replaces the Johnson impeller type engine coolant pump with an Entec West designed, engine driven, magnetically coupled, centrifugal pump. Along with the remote sea water pump, the total cooling system becomes almost maintenance free.
